You have to wait a few minutes between readings, but that's a small price to pay for the the considerably lower cost of this item compared to digital meters.

Worked when used as directed, slightly tricky getting back to ambient temperature if using more than once using the "Cold water" technique as took a while to settle at new temperature. Adjustment quite stiff but overall gave good results.

The Mahoney laser power meter probe is utilized to locate bad optics. Maximum CO2 Laser output power is measured before and after each mirror. In this video, the final mirror is measured and found to be bad. The mirror absorbs roughly 9 percent of the laser energy. In general, mirrors are expected to absorb less than 3%.
